Graduating Students

For all graduates considering attending the Commencement ceremony, please complete the Commencement Ceremony Participation form and reserve your Commencement tickets early. Even if your plans have not been finalized, we encourage you to reserve your spot at Commencement. We want you to have your reservation in place and tickets ordered should you be able to participate in the Commencement ceremony. We look forward to seeing you and celebrating your accomplishments!

If you plan to attend the Commencement ceremony, you must complete the following three steps:

  • Complete a Graduation Application.
  • Register online with the Commencement Ceremony Participation Form to reserve your seat.
  • Order Commencement tickets for yourself and your guests for entry into the Commencement venue.

Important Dates and Deadlines

  • January 27: Deadline to submit a Graduation Application. Applications submitted after January 27 will be audited for the May 2020 Commencement, but there is no guarantee that graduates’ names will appear on the Commencement program. Please contact your academic advisor to begin the graduation application process.
  • February 10 – April 15: Complete the online Commencement Ceremony Participation Form. (Your CCU log in will be required to access this form.) Your graduation application must be approved before you can submit the Commencement Ceremony Participation form. Your participation form must be submitted by April 15 in order for your seat to be reserved for Commencement.
  • February 10 – April 20: Order Commencement tickets for yourself and your guests. (Your CCU log in will be required to order tickets.) All graduating students and guests are required to have a valid ticket for entry into the commencement ceremony. Students must reserve Commencement tickets by April 20 to participate in Commencement. Each degree candidate can reserve up to ten guest tickets. Students must also reserve a graduating student ticket for their own entry to the commencement ceremony.
  • April 1: Order your graduation regalia for participation in Commencement. You can order your cap, gown, tassel and other regalia by contacting Jostens (800-854-7464) or the CCU Bookstore (303-963-3289). Graduation Fairs will also be held at CCU’s main campus and at the Colorado Springs center March 2020. Commencement regalia and other graduation items will be available for purchase at the graduation fairs.
  • April 15: Student account balances must be paid in full. Please work with Service Central if you have not completed payment arrangements.
  • April 15: Notify CommencementSupport@lolitapeliculitas.com if you or any of your guests are visually impaired, hearing impaired, physically disabled, or in a wheelchair so we can meet your needs on graduation day. Students – please notify us if you need special assistance with lining up and walking at Commencement. You can also order ADA Commencement guest tickets to reserve special seating for disabled guests.
  • May 1-7: CAGS regional centers hold receptions to honor graduating students in Colorado Springs, Grand Junction, and Lakewood. Please contact your academic advisor for more information.
  • May 4-7: CUS schools hold events to honor graduating students from those schools. The school deans will send invitations to their students. Please contact your school for more information.
  • May 7: CUS Senior Banquet and CAGS Hooding Ceremony. Please watch for your invitation to these events, held on Thursday evening.
  • May 8: 2020 Commencement Ceremony. The Commencement ceremony starts at 10:00 a.m. and will last until approximately 12:30 p.m. Graduates should arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. (no later than 9:00 a.m.) and should enter through the 1STBANK Center’s north or west entrances. Doors to the 1STBANK Center will open at 8:00 a.m. and guest seating will open 9:00 a.m.
